What shapes your offer
Which generation it is
Manual-wind Daytonas began in 1963.
Dial and registers
The dial is the heart of a Daytona.
Chronograph function
The screw-down pushers should unscrew and operate cleanly.
Case, bracelet and metal
Steel, steel and yellow gold, white gold, Everose gold and gem-set versions reach different buyers.
Before you send it
- Photograph the dial straight on, the three registers, the pushers and crown, the caseback.
- Do not polish it, service it or have the dial touched up.
- Keep the box, papers, extra links and any receipts together, and say when and where you bought it.
- If you are unsure of the reference, say so and send the photos anyway.
Your full offer becomes credit toward any watch we sell.
How trade-in worksQuestions
Can I sell a Rolex Daytona without its box and papers?
Yes. Send clear photos, say what you do have, and a dealer replies with a firm offer. The missing set is reflected in the offer, and the watch is checked on our bench before it is final.
Should I service my Daytona before I sell it?
No. A service by an outside shop can replace parts, and a polish softens the case. Send it as it is and keep any past service papers.
Why is the dealer offer below my insurance appraisal?
An appraisal usually states a replacement cost through a retail channel. A dealer offer reflects what the watch can be resold for once it has been inspected. Because they answer different questions, they rarely match.
Which Daytona references hold demand?
Steel Daytonas are the most asked for, and each generation has its own audience. The reference, dial originality and condition matter more than the generation alone.
How do you check a Daytona is genuine?
The watch is checked on our own bench in Los Angeles before the offer is final. We look at the dial, hands, pushers, case and movement, and an offer made from photos is indicative until then.
Can I trade my Daytona toward another watch?
Yes. You can apply the full agreed value as trade credit toward any watch we sell, or take cash. The desk confirms payment details with you.
