What shapes your offer
Which collection
Overseas, Patrimony, Historiques, Traditionnelle, Fiftysix and Malte are different watches with different buyers.
Metal and bracelet
The same design appears in steel, titanium and several golds.
Interchangeable straps and tools
Modern Overseas watches are built around changing between bracelet, rubber and leather.
Thin cases and polishing
Dress cases are slim, and repeated polishing softens the edges and the engraving.
Before you send it
- Photograph the reference and serial number on the caseback and the full dial in daylight.
- Include the clasp, the bracelet links and all the straps you still have, with the quick-change tool if you own it.
- Do not polish, re-lume, service or resize the bracelet before sending.
- Gather the box, certificate, papers and any Maison service records.
- Describe any dial marks and case knocks honestly; we will find them on inspection anyway.
Your full offer becomes credit toward any watch we sell.
How trade-in worksQuestions
Which Vacheron Constantin watches do you buy?
We make offers on Vacheron Constantin watches valued at $2,000 or more, across Overseas, Patrimony, Historiques, Traditionnelle, Fiftysix and other collections.
Does a gold or steel case change things?
Yes, the case metal is one of the biggest factors. Tell us the metal shown in the reference and confirm it with photos of the hallmarks.
I only have part of the straps. Is that a problem?
No. Tell us what you have. Missing straps or tools affect the offer, but they do not stop us from looking at the watch.
Do you buy vintage Vacheron Constantin?
Yes, when the watch is genuine and valued at $2,000 or more. Send clear dial, movement and caseback photos so that originality can be judged.
How is the offer set from photos?
A dealer reviews the reference, condition, papers and your asking price, and replies with an offer, usually the same business day. It is indicative until the watch is inspected.
Can I choose trade credit?
Yes. After inspection, the full agreed value can be applied toward any watch we sell, or you can take cash. The desk confirms payment details with you.
How do I get the watch to you?
Use a prepaid insured label, or bring it to our downtown Los Angeles desk by appointment, Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm Pacific.
Am I committed once I ask?
No. Asking for an offer carries no obligation.
Downtown Los Angeles, by appointment. Mon–Fri 10am–6pm Pacific.
