What shapes your offer
The exact model number
Richard Mille names its watches with RM numbers, such as RM 011 or RM 67-01.
Case material
Carbon composites (the brand's TPT materials), titanium, ceramic, steel and gold are each judged differently.
Limited and partner editions
Many RMs were made with athletes or as numbered editions.
Papers, serial and provenance
The warranty card, the serial number on the case and the purchase documents should all agree with one another.
Before you send it
- Photograph the dial, the case from every side, the caseback and the serial number, in daylight.
- Find the warranty card, the purchase invoice and any service papers, and photograph them next to the watch.
- Do not polish, service or open the watch, and do not replace screws or the strap before you send it.
- Write down the model number, the case material, the strap and any edition name and number.
- Be open about marks and chips.
Your full offer becomes credit toward any watch we sell.
How trade-in worksQuestions
Which Richard Mille watches do you buy?
We make offers on Richard Mille watches valued at $2,000 or more, which in practice covers the range. Send the RM model number, the material and the condition.
Do you buy one without box and papers?
We can consider it. Papers and the original box support the offer, and without them the watch has to be inspected more closely. Tell us what you have when you write.
What if I am not sure it is genuine?
Send us the photos and the serial number. We can only make an offer on a genuine watch, and the bench inspection settles it. There is no obligation on your side.
Do you buy gem-set or ladies' models?
Yes, if the watch is a genuine factory piece. Say clearly whether the stones were set by the brand, and include photos of the setting.
How is the offer decided from photos?
A dealer reviews the model, material, condition, papers and your asking price, and replies with an offer, usually the same business day. It is indicative until the watch is inspected.
Can I take trade credit instead of cash?
Yes. The full agreed value can be applied toward any watch we sell, or you can take cash. The desk confirms payment details with you.
How do I send it?
Use a prepaid insured label, or bring it to our downtown Los Angeles desk by appointment, Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm Pacific.
Do I have to accept the offer?
No. There is no obligation to accept an offer.
Downtown Los Angeles, by appointment. Mon–Fri 10am–6pm Pacific.
