What shapes your offer
Bezel color
On the GMT-Master II the bezel color is one of the first things that shapes our offer.
Metal and bracelet
The line comes in steel, steel with gold, and solid gold.
Bezel insert and generation
The older references have an aluminum bezel insert that can fade or mark.
Original parts
Original dial, hands, bezel and bracelet carry the offer.
Before you send it
- Photograph the dial, the bezel in daylight, both sides of the case, the clasp and the full bracelet.
- Find the box, papers and any spare links, and note the reference number if you can read it.
- Do not polish, service or replace the bezel insert before sending.
- Tell us whether the watch has the Oyster or the Jubilee bracelet.
Your full offer becomes credit toward any watch we sell.
How trade-in worksQuestions
What is the difference between the GMT-Master and the GMT-Master II?
Both show a second time zone with a 24-hour hand and a rotating bezel. On the GMT-Master II, the hour hand can be set on its own, which lets you change local time without stopping the watch. On the older GMT-Master, the hour hand moves with the 24-hour hand. We buy both.
What moves the price of a GMT-Master II?
Bezel color, metal, bracelet, condition, how original the parts are and whether the box and papers are with it. Colorways with more demand do better. Tell us your asking price and we will send a firm figure.
My bezel has faded. Does that matter?
On the older aluminum inserts, fading is normal and some collectors like it. Tell us honestly what you see. Please do not replace the insert before selling.
Do I need the box and papers?
No, but they help. An offer made from photos is indicative until the watch is inspected on our bench in Los Angeles.
Do you buy gold GMT-Master II watches?
Yes, when the piece is valued at $2,000 or more, as are all watches we buy. Send photos of the dial and clasp.
How does selling work?
Submit the brand, reference, condition, box and papers, and your asking price with photos. A dealer replies with a firm offer, usually the same business day, with no obligation. You can ship on a prepaid insured label or bring it to the desk by appointment. The desk confirms payment details with you.
Can I apply the value to another watch?
Yes. You can take cash or apply the full agreed value as trade credit toward any watch we sell.
Downtown Los Angeles, by appointment. Mon–Fri 10am–6pm Pacific.
