Privacy Policy

Last updated July 22, 2026. A dealer runs on trust and on repeat business, so this page states plainly what personal information My Watch Dealer takes, what we do with it, and what we will never do with it.

The information we take

To transact we need your name, email address, telephone number and the shipping and billing addresses attached to the deal. We keep the order record — what was bought or sold, at what price, and the messages that went with it — plus the details of any watch you offer us for purchase, trade or appraisal. Our servers log ordinary technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, which is how the site is kept running and kept secure. We never store a full card number. Cards are processed by Stripe and wires clear through our bank; those providers hold that information subject to their own privacy and security commitments.

What we do with it

Who we pass it to

Your information is not for sale, and we have never sold it. It goes out of our hands in exactly two circumstances. First, to a service provider doing a defined job for us — card processing, insured freight, email delivery, fraud screening, IT — who gets only what that job needs and is not free to use it for anything else. Second, to a public authority where the law requires us to hand it over. Whatever you enter on an order or a buy/sell/trade form is recorded in our order and inventory system so the desk can work the deal.

Cookies

Some cookies are necessary for the site to function and to hold your preferences between pages; a small analytics layer shows us which listings get attention. Both can be managed from your browser settings. California residents will find the additional controls on our Your Privacy Choices page.

If you live in California (CCPA / CPRA)

You are entitled to know what we collect and why, to access a copy of it, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it erased, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of it — and since we do neither, that last right costs you nothing to exercise. We will not treat you any differently for asking. Email [email protected] with “Privacy Rights Request” in the subject line. We verify your identity first, respond within the 45-day window California sets, and accept requests submitted by an authorized agent.

Retention and security

We hold records for as long as the transaction and our tax and legal duties require, and then we delete them or strip out anything identifying. Access is limited to the people who need it, and we maintain reasonable technical and organizational protections — while acknowledging that no transmission or storage method is completely secure.

Under-18s

Our inventory is sold to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we remove it if it reaches us.
