What shapes your offer
Which Nautilus it is
The name covers a family, not a single watch.
A retired Nautilus is a different conversation
The steel 5711 has been discontinued, and a retired reference cannot be reordered.
Bracelet, clasp and extra links
On a Nautilus the bracelet is part of the case design, so we look at stretch, link wear and the clasp.
Case lines and the dial
The case has crisp bevels and a mix of brushed and polished surfaces.
Before you send it
- Write down the full reference with the dash number from your papers or the caseback.
- Gather the box, papers, spare bracelet links and any service receipts.
- Do not polish it, service it or have the bracelet resized before you send it.
- Photograph the dial, case sides, caseback and clasp in daylight, plus the full bracelet laid flat.
Your full offer becomes credit toward any watch we sell.
How trade-in worksQuestions
Do I need the Extract from the Archives to sell my Nautilus?
No. You can ask for an offer with the reference, photos and your asking price. If you do have an Extract from the Archives, include it. It confirms the watch's characteristics and year of manufacture, and it can help if there is any question about originality.
Does a missing box change the offer?
It can, a little. Missing papers usually matter more than a missing box. Tell us what you have, and the dealer will take it into account.
The 5711 has been discontinued. Does that matter when I sell?
It matters because a retired reference cannot be ordered new, so the full reference tells us exactly which watch you have. It does not change what we need from you: the whole reference, honest condition photos and your asking price.
What should I check on a Nautilus bracelet?
Stretch, link wear, the clasp and any missing links. The bracelet is part of the watch, so please do not have it resized. Tell us if any links were removed and keep them.
Can I put the value toward another watch?
Yes. You can apply the full agreed value as trade credit toward any watch we sell, whether that is another Patek Philippe, an Audemars Piguet or a Rolex. Or you can take cash. The desk confirms payment details with you.
Is the first offer final?
An offer made from photos and a description is indicative until the watch is inspected on our bench in Los Angeles. If it is as described, the offer stands. If it differs, the dealer will explain.
What is the minimum value you buy?
We buy watches valued at $2,000 or more. Your asking price is required with your request.
Downtown Los Angeles, by appointment. Mon–Fri 10am–6pm Pacific.
