What shapes your offer
Which generation it is
A Submariner with an aluminum bezel insert, one with a ceramic bezel and the larger 41mm version are different watches to a buyer.
Bezel, dial and lume
The bezel should be the right insert for the era and turn only counterclockwise with a firm click.
Case, lugs and bracelet
A Submariner that has been over-polished loses the crisp edges on its lugs and its chamfers.
Metal and bezel color
Steel, Rolesor two-tone, yellow gold and white gold Submariners reach different buyers.
Before you send it
- Photograph the dial, bezel, caseback, clasp and both sides of the case in daylight.
- Do not polish it, service it or replace the bezel insert before sending.
- Keep any extra bracelet links and the original box and papers together, and tell us when and where you bought it.
- If you know the reference, tell us.
Your full offer becomes credit toward any watch we sell.
How trade-in worksQuestions
Can I sell a Rolex Submariner without box and papers?
Yes. Send clear photos, say what you have, and a dealer replies with a firm offer. The missing set is reflected in the offer, and the watch is checked on our bench before it is final.
Should I polish or service my Submariner first?
No. Polishing softens the case edges and a service by an outside shop can replace parts. Send it as it is and keep any past service papers.
Which Submariner references are in demand?
Steel Submariner Date models in the 116610 and 126610 families are among the easiest to place, and green-bezel versions have their own audience. The reference, condition and originality matter more than the generation alone.
Does a faded bezel hurt the offer?
Not on an aluminum-bezel reference, where fading is normal and some buyers like it. What we want to know is that the insert is the correct one for that era. Ceramic inserts should not fade, so we look more closely if one does.
How do I find my Submariner's reference?
The reference is usually on the original papers. If you do not have them, send photos and say what is printed on the dial. Photos of the bezel and the lugs help, and the desk can read the rest.
Can I trade my Submariner toward another watch?
Yes. You can apply the full agreed value as trade credit toward any watch we sell, or take cash. The desk confirms payment details with you.
