Pre-Owned Cartier Watches for Women — Dealer-Direct Prices

Bench-checked in Los Angeles, backed by a 2-year warranty and 7-day returns — every Cartier on the desk is priced off the trade number, not boutique retail.

Why Pre-Owned Cartier Is Especially Strong for Women Buyers

Cartier has designed watches specifically for women longer than almost any other Swiss house. The Tank debuted in 1917 and the Panthère has been in production across several eras, yet both remain among the most recognizable jewelry watches sold anywhere today. That history matters when you are buying pre-owned, because a reference with decades of demand behind it tends to hold its value in the secondary market far better than a watch tied to a single trend.

Case sizes are a practical advantage too. Many of the most celebrated Cartier references were designed from the start in proportions suited to smaller wrists: the Ballon Bleu 28mm, the Panthère small and medium, the Tank Must in quartz. Buying pre-owned means those references are available at prices that reflect trade value rather than boutique retail — a meaningful difference on watches that have commanded strong prices new for years.

My Watch Dealer is an independent dealer, not an authorized Cartier retailer. Every Cartier we sell is pre-owned or unworn stock purchased through the dealer trade and bench-checked at our Downtown Los Angeles desk before listing.

The Best Women’s Cartier Models to Buy Pre-Owned

The references below appear most often in pre-owned Cartier inventory and are the ones buyers searching for a women’s Cartier typically ask about.

Cartier Tank Must

The Tank Must is the most accessible entry point into the Tank family. Powered by a quartz movement and offered in yellow gold, rose gold, and steel finishes, it is slim enough to wear under a cuff and versatile enough for daily use. Pre-owned Tank Must pieces are among the most reliably available Cartier references at the trade level.

Cartier Tank Américaine

The Américaine has a curved case that follows the wrist — an elegant departure from the flat Tank. It has been produced in yellow gold, white gold, and two-tone configurations, and the elongated proportions make it a distinctive choice. Pieces in yellow gold are well represented in the pre-owned market. A current example — the Tank Américaine 26 x 45 Yellow Gold — is currently on the desk.

Cartier Ballon Bleu 28mm & 33mm

The Ballon Bleu’s round case, sunken crown, and blue sapphire cabochon have made it one of Cartier’s best-selling modern references. The 28mm suits the smallest wrists; the 33mm wears more visibly while staying well within the proportions most women prefer. Both sizes appear regularly at the trade level in steel, two-tone, and gold. See current Ballon Bleu inventory.

Panthère de Cartier

Revived in 2017, the Panthère is a bracelet watch whose links are integral to the design — the bracelet and case flow together in a way that distinguishes it from any other Cartier. Available in small and medium sizes in yellow gold, white gold, and steel, it is one of the most recognizable jewelry watches in the secondary market. See current Panthère de Cartier inventory.

Cartier Ronde Solo & Clé de Cartier

The Ronde Solo is Cartier’s most straightforward round-case watch: a simple, legible dial in a steel case, available in 29mm and larger sizes. The Clé de Cartier takes a different approach, with a key-shaped crown at 12 o’clock that is as much a design element as a functional one. Both appear at the trade level, particularly in steel.

How My Watch Dealer Sources and Authenticates Every Cartier

Every Cartier on the desk has passed through our in-house bench at the Downtown Los Angeles trade desk before it is listed. We are a member of the International Watch & Jewelry Guild (IWJG), the trade body through which we buy, sell, and trade among other professional dealers. That membership is why inventory is priced off the trade number rather than a boutique markup.

Our factory-trained watchmakers examine each incoming piece. Nothing is drop-shipped. Nothing goes on consignment without being physically handled at the desk. Pieces confirmed genuine are listed; pieces that do not pass our bench are not offered for sale.

Every purchase ships with three items regardless of whether original manufacturer box and papers are included: a MyLuxApp (MLA)-certified written appraisal, our 2-year store warranty on the mechanical movement, and a My Watch Dealer presentation box. Original box and papers, when listed, are in addition to the above — “box & papers,” “box only,” “papers only,” and “watch only” on a listing refer only to the original manufacturer items.

Dealer-Direct Pricing vs. Boutique Retail

My Watch Dealer is not an authorized Cartier retailer. Our inventory is pre-owned and unworn stock acquired through the IWJG trade, which means prices reflect what dealers pay each other rather than the boutique retail margin. Every listing on the site shows two numbers side by side: the card price and the wire price. Paying by bank wire removes the card processing cost, and that saving appears transparently in the wire price.

When comparing to Cartier boutique retail, keep in mind that the boutique price is manufacturer-suggested retail for a new watch. A pre-owned piece at dealer-direct pricing starts below that level, and the pre-owned market for the most established Cartier women’s references tends to be liquid enough that strong pieces retain value well over time.

Warranty, Returns & Shipping on Every Cartier

Every Cartier sold by My Watch Dealer — pre-owned, unworn, or special order — carries our 2-year store warranty on the mechanical movement. The warranty is provided by My Watch Dealer (Shak Corp), not by Cartier. Case, crystal, dial, bezel, bracelet and strap are outside its scope.

In-stock pieces may be returned within 7 days of delivery, unworn and with everything they shipped with. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5 business days of the piece clearing our bench. Special orders are final sale unless defective or not as described.

All watches ship via FedEx or UPS, fully insured for the full purchase value, with an adult signature required on delivery. Orders of $1,000 or more ship free; orders under $1,000 carry a flat $55 charge. In-stock pieces ship within 1–2 business days of payment clearing. Full details are on the shipping page.

How to Sell or Trade In Your Cartier

My Watch Dealer buys Cartier and most Swiss houses across the counter. Submit brand, reference, condition, and whether you have box and papers using the sell & trade form. A real cash offer typically comes back the same business day. If you are trading in toward another watch on the desk, say so in the notes — trade credit applies to any piece in stock, and we handle both legs of the shipping.
