In the pre-owned market this reference sits in a liquid spot. Plain steel Submariners still move fastest, but the blue two-tone holds its own crowd: buyers who want gold weight on the wrist without the all-gold price, and who specifically want blue over black. That preference is the thing people pay up for.
Condition is where the read gets sharp. An unworn example with papers trades differently than a worn one, and the ceramic bezel resists the fading that used to punish older aluminum inserts — so value leans hard on box, papers, and wear. This one is clean on all three.
