At 36mm, this Datejust ref 1601 is the size a lot of the newer sport watches wish they still were. On a smaller or flatter wrist it sits within the bones rather than hanging over them — lugs land where they should, the caseback stays put, and nothing slides around when you turn your hand over.
The rose gold does quiet work here. It's warmer than yellow gold and reads closer to skin tone, so the watch looks proportioned rather than loud, even on a slim wrist. The fluted bezel throws light in fine lines instead of a wide flashy ring, which keeps the whole thing feeling narrow.
The silver stick dial is plain in the good sense — clean markers, easy to read, no clutter to crowd a small dial. The President bracelet tapers into the case and follows the wrist, so the watch wears as one piece instead of a head sitting on a band.
