The MoonSwatch — launched March 2022 as a Swatch × Omega collaboration — repackaged the iconic Speedmaster Moonwatch silhouette into a 42mm Bioceramic case: a proprietary blend of roughly two-thirds ceramic and one-third bio-sourced polymer. Eleven planet-themed colorways, a Velcro strap nodding to NASA heritage, and a $260 retail price point generated global launch queues and enduring collector interest far beyond the Swatch demographic.

The collection spans 11 core references, each named after a celestial body — Moon, Mars, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Sun — finished in dedicated colorways. All share the same 42mm Bioceramic case and Swatch SB02.S quartz movement. Reference codes follow the SO33X100 format, where the middle letter identifies the planet. Mission to the Moon (SO33M100) in off-white commands the strongest secondary premiums; Neptune (SO33N100) in deep blue trades actively as well. Subsequent limited drops and themed editions appreciate fastest. Condition is critical: Bioceramic resists scratches well but is not immune, and the Velcro strap shows wear quickly. Confirm original box and documentation — both materially support resale value.
Launched March 2022 with an 11-piece planetary series sold exclusively in Swatch boutiques, driving hours-long queues globally. Subsequent drops introduced limited colorways and themed collaborations, gradually broadening the collection while maintaining the core SO33X100 reference architecture.
